Job summary

Salience Health is hiring a Medical Receptionist/Patient Experience Advocate (PXA) to be the welcoming first contact for patients and visitors in a fast-paced outpatient clinic in Plano, TX. You will manage front desk operations, scheduling, insurance verification, and payments while guiding patients through their care journey.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Front desk and patient reception experience preferred.
• Experience in medical scheduling and insurance verification is desirable.
• Experience collecting patient payments and posting accurately.
• Experience working in behavioral health or primary care settings is preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and compassionately.
• Check in/out patients, ensuring demographics and insurance data are current.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and other payments and post transactions.
• Explain payment options and establish payment plans per guidelines.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient financial responsibility.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for providers.
• Educate patients on services and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain EMR schedules and patient flow to maximize efficiency.
• Respond to calls and inquiries, route messages appropriately.
• Collaborate with medical staff to support coordinated care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA policies.
• Participate in meetings and process improvements.
