Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH seeks a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians. You will manage visitation information, facilitate communication, and act as a patient advocate to expedite admissions when needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and evening shift hours (11:30a-8p, M-F). You will support guest services and ambassadorship within a high reliability hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in a consumer advocacy or service role preferred.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology, and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide visitation information to patients, families and visitors while maintaining confidentiality.
• Facilitate clear communication between patients, families and hospital staff.
• Advocate for patients by investigating and expediting admissions or delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate issues as needed.
• Respond to special needs and ensure they are met.
• Greet and escort visitors, families and patients; assist with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answer multi-line phone calls and route to appropriate departments.
• Oversee information desks and lobby areas for cleanliness and order.
