Job summary

CareSouth Medical and Dental seeks a Patient Engagement Representative in Baton Rouge to provide high-quality, compassionate service to patients and staff. You will input patient information into the EMR, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and assist with payments, supporting a seamless patient experience.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, effective communication, and collaboration with the Call Center and care team to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Office Administration program preferred.
• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient in using Electronic Health Records and strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Friendly and compassionate disposition with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
• Compliance with all laws and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, families, and providers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
• Enter appointments and cancellations in the EMR and verify details.
• Scan and verify insurance information and patient demographics.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments and coordinate with Call Center as needed.
• Accept payments and balance daily transactions.
• Complete day-end financial report.
• Travel to satellite offices to provide staff relief.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
