Savista is seeking an Eligibility Specialist 2 at Jefferson Stratford Hospital in East Stratford, NJ to help uninsured and underinsured patients access financial assistance by guiding them through Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and Charity Care programs, ensuring HIPAA-compliant records.

You will meet with patients, complete applications, coordinate with hospital staff and agencies, manage multiple cases, communicate options clearly, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• At least 2 years in a customer-facing role, preferably in healthcare or financial counseling.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Notary license within 3 months of hire.
• Willingness to perform in-home patient visits within the assigned market area.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain complex information clearly.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel within the service area.

Responsabilités

• Meet with patients in-person, including bedside visits, to assess financial assistance eligibility and guide them to available programs.
• Facilitate the application process for Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and Charity Care with timely and accurate documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, hospital staff, and government agencies to establish eligibility and resolve coverage issues.
• Manage multiple patient cases, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow up on pending applications.
• Clearly communicate financial obligations, funding options, and program details to patients empathetically.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Achieve productivity and quality metrics to support financial counseling objectives.
• Use multiple systems to gather, track, and report patient data.
• Assist with vacancy coverage as needed.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
