Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke is seeking a Food Services Associate I for a full-time role with variable hours. You will assist patients with menu selections, handle cash and tray assembly, deliver meals, and ensure sanitation within the department.

Responsibilities also include catering for events, temperature logging, and meeting patient dietary orders. A high school diploma or GED and food service experience are preferred; SERV-SAFE certification may be required for supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One or more years of food service experience preferred.
• SERV-Safe Certification or equivalent certification required for supervisory roles.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selection and nourishment orders.
• Ring up customer sales on cash register and balance cash drawer.
• Assemble and deliver trays, snacks, and tube feedings.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment and areas in the department.
• Provide catering services for events and meetings.
• Meet with patients to obtain menu and snack selections per physician diet orders.
