Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a full-time Food Service Assistant to support patient, visitor, and staff dining experiences. The role involves preparing meals, serving in a courteous manner, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Shifts run between 5:30am and 8:30pm with every other weekend and holiday required. Prior food prep experience is preferred, and high school students are not being considered for this position.

Qualifications

• Prepare and assemble meals according to menus, diet orders, and customer needs.
• Serve patients, guests, and residents in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Set up serving areas and ensure supplies and equipment are ready for meal service.
• Stock food and supplies as needed.
• Assist with dining room duties, including bussing and sanitizing tables.
• Deliver meals and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow infection prevention, hand hygiene, and food safety procedures.
• Note: High school students are not being considered for this position
