UPMC Altoona is hiring Food Service Workers in Nutrition Services to provide friendly, patient-centered dining experiences in a hospital setting. The role involves preparing cold foods, serving on patient lines and in the cafeteria, and maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment.

The position requires a high school diploma and offers full-time opportunities with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Training is provided, and teamwork is essential.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and portion cold foods for patients and staff.
• Set up and serve hot and cold items in patient lines and cafeteria.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Follow FDA food handling procedures and temperature controls.
• Operate and clean dish machine; monitor temperatures and chemicals.
• Set up and stock cafeteria serving areas and salad bars.
• Transport supplies and carts to various hospital units when needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
