Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders meet dietary requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, or cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals and retrieve trays on time according to patient selections.
• Follow HIPAA, HACCP and sanitation guidelines and maintain patient rights.
• Assist dietitians and monitor patients on restricted diets as needed.
• Communicate issues with patients to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports per policy.
• Adhere to federal, state and local health regulations and sanitation procedures.
