Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Starkville, MS. This is a full-time and part-time position with three 12-hour shifts; days and hours may vary, including weekends and holidays.

Prior customer service experience is required. As a Patient Dining Associate, you will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and ensure meals are accurate and served on time.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies and preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to patient selections and timing.
• Follow HACCP, sanitation, HIPAA, and confidentially guidelines.
• Assist dietitians and monitor patients on special diets as needed.
• Communicate any problems or concerns with patients to the appropriate personnel.
