Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Food Service Assistant to guide patients through meal ordering and ensure tray accuracy according to therapeutic diet guidelines. You will round on patients and staff to resolve foodservice concerns and deliver trays in a timely, compliant manner.

Candidates should have high school education and customer service experience, with familiarity in modified diets. The role may involve up to 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting with attention to cleanliness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required or preferred.
• Knowledge of modified diets and proper food handling and preparation.
• Ability to follow therapeutic diet guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized diet office system.
• Verify patient identifiers during meal delivery and ensure tray accuracy.
• Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns.
• Assemble and deliver trays according to diet guidelines and presentation standards.
• Perform physically active duties, including long walking, standing, and 12-hour shifts.
