Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a part-time Food Service Aide to guide patients through the meal ordering process, ensure diet compliance, and enhance satisfaction with personalized suggestions.

You will verify patient identifiers, assemble and deliver trays, and round with nursing staff to address any foodservice concerns, while upholding safety and cleanliness.

This role requires knowledge of modified diets and proper food handling; prior customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of modified diets and proper food handling and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized system and ensure selections align with prescribed diets.
• Verify patient identifiers during meal delivery and confirm patients have everything they need before leaving the room.
• Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns and implement service recovery.
• Assemble and deliver trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines and presentation standards.
• Perform physically active duties including walking long distances, standing for extended periods, and working up to 12-hour shifts while maintaining a clean, organized environment.
