Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at CHRISTUS Health Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. This full-time role offers 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and a $15.00/hour pay rate.

As part of the Morrison team, you will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and ensure accuracy and safety according to HIPAA and HACCP standards. Join us to nourish patients and support compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to adjust menus for allergies, sensitivities, and religious or cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection.
• Retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on liquid diets or with calorie counts.
• Communicate problems to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
