Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, dietary restrictions, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Follow HIPAA policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines and sanitation procedures.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets as needed.
• Communicate issues to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
