Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for a full-time role in Plano, Texas. The position involves assisting patients with meal selections, assembling and delivering trays, and collaborating with nursing and dietary staff to meet nutritional requirements.

The role requires experience in food service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work 3 days per week on rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for dietary needs and preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Follow HIPAA and facility policies to protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines and maintain clean workstations and trays area.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts.
