Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates in Ashland, KY. The role involves assisting patients with menu choices, delivering meals, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction on healthcare units. Flexible schedules; prior customer service experience preferred.

Employees work on assigned units, follow HACCP and HIPAA guidelines, and support dietitians with meals and dietary accommodations. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are included in the package.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner following outlined steps of service.
• Enter all sales into the cash register and ensure purchases are recorded accurately.
• Cary pans, kettles, and trays of food while maintaining safety standards; distribute supplies and utensils.
• Clean work areas and ensure sanitation and safety requirements are met.
• Collaborate with dietitians to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, or cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals per patient menu selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
