Lumio Dental is seeking a Patient Coordinator to serve as the liaison between the back-office team and patients. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, organization, and strong communication, with a requirement for bilingual Spanish where applicable.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of dental office experience, be proficient with computers, and maintain a welcoming, patient-focused environment in our MacArthur area studio.

Qualifications

• 2 years of dental office experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish (required) is a plus for patient interactions.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls and schedule patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-payments, updating patient accounts.
• Coordinate the schedule with Dentist and Hygienist to fit patients' needs.
• Maintain patient care database by entering new information as it becomes available.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Direct arriving patients to waiting areas and update on expected waiting times.
• Follow policies to prevent spread of diseases and protect patients and staff.

Patient connection starts with the initial phone call. The role of a Patient Coordinator is to use exceptional interpersonal skills and be the liaison between the back-office team and the patient. To be successful you must partner with the providers and educate patients on their financial options so that they can achieve optimal oral health.

Bilingual - Spanish is a plus! The ideal candidate for this position will have 2 years of dental office experience.

• Protects self, co-workers, and patients by following policies and procedures to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne diseases
