Job summary

Integrated Visiting Physician Solutions, PC in Michigan is seeking an organized office coordinator to manage referrals, review provider schedules and serve as a liaison between customers and clinicians for service issues.

You will schedule home care visits, coordinate with clinicians, maintain documentation, and support the team in problem-solving while ensuring payer authorizations and timely communications.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or college coursework in business preferred.
  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • Requires computer proficiency, the ability to accurately type, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Outlook preferred.
  • Requires strong organization skills, and the ability to adapt rapidly to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills in order to organize the flow of work through the office in an effective manner.
  • Requires previous Home Health Care experience or office/administrative support experience or the completion of a college degree

Responsibilities

  • Process customer referrals and schedule patients to receive home care visits from clinicians, matching customer needs with staff skill set; uses geographic scheduling to reduce drive time.
  • Coordinate with clinicians to ensure visits are assigned, make necessary changes to schedule, and update clinician.
  • Researches the issue and corrects the problem.
  • Review and monitor daily schedules of patients and clinicians.
  • Act as liaison between current customers and clinicians as it pertains to service issues, including schedule changes requested by customers.
  • Maintain documentation of calls, outcomes of issues raised for administrative review and follow-up.
  • May obtain per-authorization/authorization for ongoing services per payer requirements and communicate status of authorizations to the team.
  • Participate in initiatives related to process improvements and enhancements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in resolving problems with access to services, complaints, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for managing all referrals and reviewing all the provider schedules. Act as liaison between current customers and clinicians as it pertains to service issues. Provide office support and act as a resource for team members, medical staff and other professionals.
