Job summary

Integrated Visiting Physician Solutions PC conducts medical visits at seniors’ homes, assisted living facilities, and similar settings, providing a range of medical services beyond traditional primary care. The Medical Assistant will support physicians during in-home visits, manage supplies, prepare patients, and document services while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, with six months of patient-care experience and a valid driver’s license.

• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Ability to adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to analyze problems and resolve issues in a rapid, direct and complete manner.
• Ability to assess importance of inquiry and to assign priority for resolution.
• Skill in teamwork and maintaining relationships with patients, caregivers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures; abide by core values.
• Pairs with Physician to drive to residential areas for scheduled visits.
• Maintain and upkeep of assigned medical supplies and technology center.
• Prepare patients for in-home procedures (vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, injections, accuchecks).
• Label, store and package specimens for lab delivery.
• Log and update patient information in EMR.
• Document all ordered services (durable medical equipment, ancillary services).
• Comply with CLIA standards; observe OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
• Assist physician in preparing for minor surgeries and examinations.
• Aid in communication and sign-off with patient/caregivers.

In addition, we make visits to senior settings such as: assisted living facilities, group homes, and other senior community environments. Our medical providers are not limited to only Internal Medicine providers, but we also offer other ancillary services such as: Psychology, Pain Management and Podiatry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Medical Assistants play a vital role in the company's agenda, so we want to hire the best MAs that are available. In this position, the duties are the same as ones needed in a conventional medical office, but are performed at the patient's house

• Follow company policies and procedures/ abide by company core values .
• Pairs with Physician to drive to residential areas for scheduled visits.
• Responsible for maintaining and upkeep of assigned medical supplies and technology center.
• Prepares patients with comfort and care for in home procedures, such as performing vital signs, phlebotomy (venipuncture only), specimen collections, routine Injections, and accuchecks as ordered by physician.
• Labels, stores and properly packages specimens for delivery to lab.
• Logs and updates patient information for accurate processing and testing.
• Documentation of all ordered services for patients, such as durable medical equipment , and ancillary services through company EMR.
• Logs information in compliance with CLIA standards.
• Performs all clinical duties while observing OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
• Assists physician in preparing for minor surgeries and examinations.
• Aids in communication and form signing with patient/caregivers
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Attends required meetings and in-services.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
