Job summary

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to greet patients, register admissions, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and perform data entry with HIPAA compliance.

You will support patients and staff, manage the appointment calendar, answer calls, collect copays, and maintain a neat reception area while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in a medical office, physician practice, or hospital setting (preferred).
• Prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients, verifies demographic and insurance information
• Schedules patient appointments and manages the appointment calendar
• Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate departments
• Collects patient payments and provides receipts
• Assists patients with completing required paperwork and obtains signatures
• Verifies insurance benefits and pre-authorizations as required
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Manages patient flow and communicates status to clinical staff
• Keeps reception area clean and organized
• Performs general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, data entry)
