Job summary

Summa Health System is seeking a clerical coordinator at the Barberton campus to greet customers and manage front-desk workflow. You will monitor patient wait times, process paperwork, and ensure accurate data entry in the Radiology Information System.

The role supports orientation for students and new staff, and may involve balance collections and arranging payment plans at check-in. Prior clerical experience in medical context is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year clerical experience in medical records, medical insurance claims processing, customer service, or related public contact.
• Experience using Windows or DOS, fax machine, copier/scanner.
• Able to pass medical terminology exam by HR.
• Light typing.
• Ability to work with others or independently following instructions.
• Ability to handle peaks in volume and interruptions.
• Completed training and competency testing for Radiology Information System modules.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously.
• Monitor patient wait times and ensure paperwork is processed correctly.
• Assist with orientation of students or new employees.
• Perform account balance collections and set up payment plans at check-in.
