Virginia Urology / Med Atlantic Inc is seeking a Patient Representative in Richmond, VA. You will be the first point of contact, greet patients, collect insurance and demographic information, and schedule appointments, ensuring accuracy and a positive patient experience across three front desk roles.

You will work in a fast-paced healthcare setting, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams, maintaining HIPAA compliance, handling copayments, and supporting patient navigation.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, customer service or administrative roles.
• Proficient in data entry and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally, creating a positive first impression.
• Gathers insurance, demographic, and referral information from patients.
• Collects copayments or deductibles due at visit.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage front desk tasks.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Assist patients in navigating the facility and resources.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support front desk operations.
