Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Front Office Specialist to provide exceptional patient service at our Monroe, GA office. You will ensure patients arrive on time, manage daily schedules, and support billing activities including co-pays and co-insurance collections.

The role requires high school diploma, familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid billing, and strong MS Office skills. Healthcare front desk experience is preferred and you will be the friendly face of our practice.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing, charges and collections is required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare setting is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are expected.
• Front desk experience in health care is preferred and valued.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service – exceed patients' expectations and maintain positive relationships with patients, therapists, referring offices and staff.
• Schedule Management – manage daily clinic schedules, block off therapists, and coordinate post-operative appointments.
• Chart Management – collect patient information, insurance details, consent, and policy information.
• Greeting Patients – be the friendly first point of contact for patients.
• Creating Deposits – collect co-pays/co-insurances, post to ledgers and prepare deposits.
• Tracking Referring Physicians and Other Statistics – monitor referrals and categorize new vs existing.
• Patient Account Management – handle medical records requests, billing concerns, and HCFA processing.
