Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo is seeking a Telephone Operator to provide courteous, efficient communication between the public, patients and their families, and our staff and physicians. This role supports all areas under the Business Office Systems with various duties and promotes service-excellence standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to outstanding patient service in a busy healthcare

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-5 years job related experience recommended.
• Some college education in related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• The Telephone Operator is responsible for providing courteous, efficient communication between the public, our patients and their families, the Staff and Physicians.
• The position serves as support to all areas under Business Office Systems with various duties as outlined in the job specific duties.
• This position supports an organizational culture for service excellence and practices the service excellence standards to all customer groups.
• Demonstrates ability to effectively assess and implement job responsibilities according to departmental policies and procedures.
