Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of professional experience within a medical call center environment.
• Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Ability to multitask while managing phone calls.
• Accurate typing speed of 40 WPM.
• Ability to interpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in de-escalation techniques for resolving difficult patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the recovery of outstanding patient balances by handling high-volume calls.
• Evaluate patient accounts to determine eligibility for payment plans or financial assistance.
• Persuade patients to make payments or set up structured payment plans while maintaining a positive experience.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies by reviewing EOBs and coverage.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection efforts and interactions in the billing system.
• De-escalate complex billing disputes using clear, simple language.
• Achieve individual and team cash collection targets and call quality KPIs.
• Maintain attendance and productivity in a high-speed call center environment.
