Job summary

AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) is expanding its care team to support population health and patient experience. The Care Team Associate II assists providers with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate data capture and seamless patient flow within a busy New York practice.

Under supervision, you will support registration, scheduling, referrals, and basic patient care activities, contributing to high-quality care delivery and patient satisfaction across ACPNY offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting.
• Three years' experience as medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Experience and ability to navigate an EMR (Electronic Medical Record).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage front-desk flow to reduce wait times.
• Answer phones professionally; schedule appointments and verify insurance.
• Register patients, collect demographics, and ensure data accuracy in the EMR.
• Assist with direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and document appropriately.
• Coordinate referrals and follow up on pre/post- referral matters.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Associate degree preferred

Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
