Job summary

AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) is seeking a Care Team Associate II to support patient care and administrative tasks under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist providers with clinical services, coordinate registrations, and help manage patient flow in a busy New York practice.

The role requires basic medical terminology, solid customer service, and the ability to document observations in the EMR, communicate with the care team, and ensure accurate data capture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required or certification eligibility within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience as medical assistant.
• Experience navigating an EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist care teams with direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Register, check-in and check-out patients; manage patient flow and scheduling.
• Answer phones professionally and schedule appointments; verify insurance when required.
• Collect and process payments; maintain accurate end-of-day reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal/external referrals and prepare needed documentation.
