UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a Scheduling Specialist, Associate to coordinate chemotherapy, injections, labs, and related appointments. You will ensure MD orders and authorizations are secured and reschedule patients when needed, while maintaining patient confidentiality and a high level of service.

This role emphasizes strong communication with patients and clinical staff, independent and team-based work, and a commitment to a World Class patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with strong customer service orientation.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling or patient service coordination is preferred.
• Excellent phone communication and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and manage oncology treatment schedules, ensuring MD orders and authorizations.
• Prepare pre-treatment charts and verify treatment authorizations.
• Contact patients about missed or canceled appointments and reschedule in Epic.
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and financial coordinators for scheduling of treatments.
