Manatee Physician Alliance is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to handle front desk coverage, patient registration, check-in, and scheduling in a busy clinic environment. You will also assist with billing, co-pays, and EMR scanning while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication with patients.

The ideal candidate brings medical terminology knowledge, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and reliability to adapt to interruptions and demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completed a Medical Office Assistant/Specialist program or Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of one year of medical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Responsibilities

• Register patients at check-in and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-pays and process billing.
• Scan records into EMR and manage reports and correspondence.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance.
• Handle interruptions calmly and problem-solve when needed.
