Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Stamford, CT is seeking a Call Center Agent to register new patients and support ongoing patient communications. You will handle calls with tact, gather needed information, and relay messages to care teams. The role operates Monday–Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in a professional MSO environment.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma, one year of medical experience, and familiarity with HIPAA. EMR systems like Athena/Centricity or Medi-Tech are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of medical experience preferred.
• HIPAA regulations and medical terminology familiarity.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus (Athena/Centricity, Medi-Tech).

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact for new patients at the call center.
• Take calls from patients needing medical care and gather necessary information.
• Take electronic messages and relay to care providers.
• Screen and transfer calls to appropriate departments.
• Enter pending documents into a patient chart in the EMR system.
