Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City, Arizona is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in direct patient care. You will perform vital signs, assist with exams, and coordinate care, while maintaining a welcoming, efficient clinic environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a Banner-approved MA training program, and active MA certification with BLS. You will work weekdays 8am–4:30pm in a patient-focused team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED. Banner-approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification required. Strong computer and EMR skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and record vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures.
• Coordinate patient care: referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Maintain medical records and ensure accurate billing information.
• Keep exam rooms and equipment clean and disinfected.
• Order supplies and manage medications as directed.
• Assist with onboarding and simulate training as needed.
• Communicate with patients, families, and staff effectively.
