Job summary

Banner Health Clinic in Page, AZ is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care. You will handle vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and coordinate referrals in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy in documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and strong communication with patients and colleagues. Day shift, M-F 8a-5:30p, with sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording symptoms.
• Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling; communicate test results.
• Maintain complete medical records and support billing processes.
• Keep clinical areas clean and safe; disinfect equipment per guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication handling and recalls.
• Develop effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as required.
• Work under providers' supervision and prioritize patient flow.
