Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures, perform phlebotomy and basic procedures.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations and scheduling; communicate test results.
