Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment (Illinois).
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education for the unit served.
• Interpret and document nursing assessments in the patient’s medical record.
• Provide routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls and manage urgent medical situations according to protocols.
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and Medical Assistants in accordance with Illinois law.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed.
