Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• State licensed registered nurse for the state of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (may be required for certain positions).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide pre-attending care for patients by performing comprehensive assessments.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs, and specimen preparation; handle complex procedures.
• Interpret and define abnormalities detected in tests and procedures, then take remedial action.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organizational protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians and delegate tasks to LPNs and Medical Assistants.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education and participate in community outreach.
