Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Nurse Clinician to provide patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions in a multidisciplinary environment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to educate patients and coordinate care with physicians and staff.

You will perform routine nursing duties, respond to urgent situations, and support patient education initiatives while upholding confidentiality and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document in the patient record.
• Provide routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Coordinate patient education and healthcare team communication.
• Triage calls and manage urgent medical situations per protocols.
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and Medical Assistants within Illinois regulations.
