Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations, operate the MRI equipment, and prepare the room with the necessary equipment for procedures.

The Lead Tech will educate staff, adjust protocols under supervision, manage scheduling, transport patients, order supplies, and ensure patient and staff safety around magnetic fields; supervision of students may be required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• ARRT-R radiography certification is required.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology preferred and ARRT certified.
• ARRT-MR MRI certification required within 6 months of hire.
• MRI experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technologist educates and trains staff on procedures and protocols.
• Schedule, transport patients, and order supplies as directed by Imaging Management.
• Ensure protection of patients and staff from magnetic fields and uphold safety standards.
• Supervise students as assigned by area supervisor.
