Job summary

Summerville Medical Center, part of the HCA Healthcare system, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiological diagnostic procedures as directed by the Radiologist. You will be a key member of Medical Imaging, contributing to patient care and safety while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education, ARRT certification, and SC SCRQSA licensure, and will participate in a fast-paced environment focused on quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
• RT Certification from ARRT is required.
• South Carolina State License: SCRQSA in Radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into a specified position, and adjusting exposure factors.
• Minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff by practicing radiation safety.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, process images and prepare room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
• Maintain accurate patient records, schedule patients, oversee patient transportation, order supplies and sustain a healthy work environment.
