Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SC state license (South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association).
• ARRT certified (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist).
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists with MRI imaging and ensure patient safety.
• Position patients to obtain quality MRI images.
• Explain the procedure to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Check orders and obtain consent before exam.
• Prepare MRI equipment and ensure optimal imaging density and contrast.
• Maintain MRI equipment in good working order and follow safety protocols.
