HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations, operate the MRI equipment, and prepare the room with the necessary equipment for procedures.
The Lead Tech will educate staff, adjust protocols under supervision, manage scheduling, transport patients, order supplies, and ensure patient and staff safety around magnetic fields; supervision of students may be required.

The Technologist performs MRI examinations with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist. Operates diagnostic MRI equipment, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
Lead tech will be responsible for educating and training staff technologists on existing and new procedures. Lead tech will be responsible for adjusting protocols as directed by Medical Imaging Management team and Radiologists. Duties include, but are not limited to, Scheduling, transporting patients, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team. Lead Technologist is responsible for the Protection of patients and staff from the magnetic field, including but not limited to all safety measures. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
