Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a clerical support member for our inpatient nursing unit. Under the RN's supervision, you will prepare patient charts, assemble charts for admissions, transfers and discharges, and use computer systems to process physician orders.

You will answer phones, protect patient information per HIPAA, and maintain supplies. Requires basic computer skills and good reading/writing. Pay range is $20.00–$26.92 per hour. Vaccination against influenza is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure: None required.
• Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to read, spell and write.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient charts and ensures forms and information are ready daily.
• Assembles charts for admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Processes physician orders and uses bed tracking to support patient flow.
• Answers phones and transmits messages to unit staff.
