Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient charts with forms and relevant information.
• Assembles charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Uses computer systems to process physician orders.
• Monitors bed tracking to support timely patient flow.
• Answers phones and relays messages to unit staff.
• Protects patient confidentiality per HIPAA and institutional policies.
• Stocks and inventories nursing unit supplies and maintains organization.
• Access to non-controlled medications such as IV solutions and vaccines per policy.
