Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing and basic math skills required.
• Basic computer and keyboarding experience required.
• Successful completion of the UCA training program required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Previous health care or service-oriented field experience, in an acute care setting preferred.
• Medical terminology beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Unit Communication Center, prioritizing and routing information.
• Support hospital client/guest relations and intra/interdepartmental communications.
• Protect patient privacy and manage health care information and records.
• Maintain information technology and communication equipment and integrate new IT into current practices.
• Provide services under the direction of the RN in charge and in collaboration with the care team.
