Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking a Unit Clerical Associate to support patient care on one of its units. You will coordinate and gather patient chart documentation, and provide clerical support under the supervision of a registered nurse (PCC) within a collaborative care team, including PCA, PSA, and UCA roles.

Responsibilities include processing orders, verifying forms for accuracy, and disseminating unit information.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages and to read and write common vocabulary and medical terminology.
• 1 month experience or 1 course in office practices and procedures
• 1 month experience or 1 course in public relations
• 1 month experience or 1 course in data entry or typing

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and gather all documentation related to the patient chart on the unit.
• Provide clerical support under the direction of the PCC and in collaboration with the care team.
• Process orders and verify forms for accuracy and completeness on the unit.
• Disseminate information on the unit to relevant team members and stakeholders.
