Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Center, IA is seeking a transportation aide to support patient care. You will transport patients and equipment and provide 1:1 caregiver support as needed, while maintaining a friendly, professional attitude.

You will work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with on-site responsibilities and adherence to safety and CARE standards. The position offers PTO from day one, retirement contributions, and opportunities for career

Formación

• Must be able to work the hours specified and communicate effectively.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and assist patients for transportation, with staff guidance.
• Pick up and deliver patient equipment and supplies.
• Identify broken/damaged equipment and report per procedure.
• Handle contaminated items and transport to Central Supply for decontamination.
• Deliver and pick up specimens, cultures and blood samples as required.
• Provide 1:1 observation and patient care under nursing staff.
• Follow up to ensure customer concerns are addressed.
• Identify and report safety concerns for patients, visitors and staff.
