Job summary

Avera on Louise Health Campus is seeking a dedicated nurse aide to provide routine patient care and support services in line with established policies. You will assist nurses and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining a compassionate bedside manner.

The role includes ambulating patients, feeding, documenting dietary information, and coordinating with departments to arrange services. CNA certification is preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and hear/distinguish speech.
• High school diploma or GED; CNA preferred or required per role.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding, and meal tray delivery.
• Greet visitors, answer inquiries, relay messages, assist with gifts, flowers, and mail.
• Ambulate patients, record intake/output, assist with transfers and specimens as needed.
• Answer phones, operate paging system, and direct traffic during emergencies.
• Coordinate outpatient appointments and requisitions for services as directed.
• Manage supplies and equipment, and coordinate department services.
