Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine patient care under supervision. The role includes ambulation, bathing, feeding, and responding to patient needs, while maintaining safety and dignity.

You will work rotating days/evenings/nights with weekends and holidays, and coordinate with nurses and physicians to ensure timely care. PTO from day one and opportunities for career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Provide routine patient care under supervision by nurse or physician.
• Demonstrate compassionate care and attention to patient comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding, and assisting with care needs.
• Respond to patient call bells and assist with inquiries, messages, and deliveries.
• Coordinate appointments, requisitions, and transportation of patients and specimens.
