Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills and basic computer skills required.
• Preferred: Acute care experience in last 3 years and enrollment in ASN/BSN programs.
• CPR certification and background clearance requirements (Act 34/33/73, FBI fingerprinting).

Responsibilities

• Provide, obtain and document direct patient care and activities (ADLs, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, intake/output, meals, height/weight, glucose testing).
• Promote safety and patient satisfaction through bedside reports, hourly rounding, and cleanliness.
• Document vital signs, I&O, weights, restraints and treatments; report changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in unit activities like stocking supplies and equipment cleaning.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
