Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient-facing nursing support role to assist with direct care and unit coordination for stable patients. The incumbent will practice medical asepsis, respect patient dignity and privacy, and document care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, and mobility, with participation in rounds and patient flow. Requires HS diploma and basic math skills. On-site, full-time, training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Limited or no experience; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and coordinates non-direct patient care on the inpatient unit.
• Document patient care and vital signs in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Participate in safety and quality initiatives, rounding, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

ASN or BSN nursing program enrolled; 1 clinical rotation completed
