Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nursing support associate to provide direct patient care and assist with routine nursing duties in a stable patient population. You will perform basic nursing procedures, document care in the electronic medical record, and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role emphasizes clinical asepsis, patient dignity, and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents direct patient care and activities such as ADLs, vital signs, mobility, and specimen collection.
• Participates in care coordination and unit activities including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety protocols, adheres to privacy and dignity of patients.
• Documents care and report changes to nursing staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned by RN or Charge Nurse.
