Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- LaFollette Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living and maintain a safe care environment, while communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in acute care or are nursing students/CNA trainees, with basic patient care knowledge and a commitment to safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment
• Commitment to confidentiality and safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Collect and record vital signs and patient data, report findings to the RN/LPN.
• Support with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility, including using walkers or wheelchairs.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and adhere to infection control practices.
• Maintain attendance, comply with policies, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
